Family Photographs
I can think of dozens of reasons why people would want to commission me to take their family photographs. Maybe one day I will write a blog post listing the top 100 reasons why you should get family photographs done.
However on this occasion Sean and Winnie contacted me as there was some urgency. You see Sean was leaving for overseas soon to start a new job in Abu Dhabi. In fact the whole family was leaving but before they left they really wanted to take some family photographs of them with their 6 month old daughter Claire.
As a family portrait photographer I always have to remind my audience about the importance of having professional family photographs done before their kids get too old or their situation changes. It is actually quite a hard thing to do. Most people are aware that they need family photographs but there is never any urgency to get it done. Unfortunately they put it off and before you know it an opportunity to capture a piece of their history is missed.

The session with Sean, Winnie and Claire consisted of some formal studio portraits and an outdoor photo shoot. We don’t normally do outdoor portraits as we focus mainly on studio work but this time I made an exception.

As you can tell from the photographs Claire is such a happy and content baby. She was always giggling throughout the session which really made my job of discovering beautiful moments between Claire and her parents all the more easier.

Recently Sean contacted me. It hasn’t taken them long to settle in and Claire is loving the climate as she gets to swim and play outdoors frequently. It definitely beats this fickle Melbourne weather we are currently experiencing.
