A School for Sudanese Girls
Last Saturday Volare Photography attended a fundraising event to celebrate the Baai-Bor Women Welfare Foundation’s 5th anniversary. Their mission is to build a school for Sudanese girls in South Sudan. It was a fantastic family event with music, traditional dancing and food.
We were there taking family portraits of the guests and doing our best to raise as much money as we could for this worthwhile cause.
The total amount of money raised on the night for the Sudanese girls school came to an amazing $4260.40 with a further $2,000 pledged.
On the night George Hendry gave a report on the Sudanese girls school’s progress. The great news is that both school blocks have been completed and their roof tops have been fitted. Our goal now is to raise a further $30K in funds to equip the school with furnishings such as desks, chairs, blackboards etc. The money raised on the night will go towards this effort.
Here are a few photos we took on the night.
Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in this project to build a school for Sudanese girls in South Sudan. Once again if you would like to help out in any way, you can contact me or the Baai-Bor Women Welfare Foundation for further information.
