Bello is beautiful in Italian and that is where Tracey took her inspiration from when naming her long haired Jack Russell. I’m sure you’d agree when looking at these images from her dog photography session that she was on the money.

Bella is beautiful in both her looks and her nature. The two of them seemed inseparable throughout their photo session at our studio. As Tracey mentions below, she inherited Bella from her daughter, after Tracey got stuck with the doggy chores. It is funny how many times I hear this story from people. However I don’t have to look too far because my parents will testify to the fact that both their son’s first dogs befell the same fate. What would we do without our parents? 🙂

Dog Photography

According to Tracey, Bella can be a little bit stubborn and lazy but she goes crazy over chasing tennis balls. We used this behaviour to our advantage and captured some really amazing shots of her as she ran towards the camera chasing a ball.  Her excitement showed on her face with priceless expressions along with ears flapping around everywhere.

It was also lovely to photograph Tracey’s husband, Barry. Although he was at first maybe a little bit reluctant to be in too many photos, Barry knew the significance of what we were trying to achieve and was really great on the day. The artwork that we created during Bella’s dog photography session now takes pride in their home. Memories to look back on for many years to come.

How old was she when you got her?
10 weeks old.

How did you come up with her name?
She was already named Bella which is ‘beautiful’ in Italian and we think she is beautiful.

Any specific circumstances on how/why you got her?
She belonged to my daughter until I ‘stole’ her away! As is par for the course, I soon landed the job of feeding and walking the dog and she just became mine.

What is her character like?
She is lazy and has her own mind. If she does not want to walk any more. She will just stop, give you a dirty look and refuse to walk further until we turn around and head home.

Funniest thing she have ever done?
When I got a pull string mouse that cats play with….I was pulling the string and the mouse would run and she would run after it.
After watching me, she saw what I was doing, and started holding down the mouse with one paw and pulling the string which had a ring at the end with her teeth and watching it go. She did this until the ring broke!

When does she make you smile/laugh?
As soon as washing comes in we dump it on the couch to start folding. If there is a delay, Bella will always go and lie on top of the fresh washing. She does this with any pile of clothes, blankets, pillows etc

When does she make you angry?
When she does not want to eat her food and I have to throw it away.

Favorite thing you like doing with her?
We enjoy playing fetch or soccer with her favourite ball.
