Photo of the Month – January

– Diary of a Photographer –

The month of January saw me ‘give up’ my summer for two weeks and head over to Salt Lake City in Utah. The temperature there was about -8C at night and during the day it didn’t get more than 2C with snow storms.

Salt Lake City is about 1,300 metres above sea level and surrounding by amazing mountain ranges. With some of the best skiing in the USA only a 30 minute drive away no wonder it was chosen to host the 2002 winter Olympics.

Th photo of the month was taken in the State Capitol building on Capitol Hill. From the outside it looks like the White House. This image was taken of the beautiful ornate architecture within the building.
